So, I am down 1/5 of a pound. Seriously. I am down .(point)2. (I'll take it, thank you very much!!)
I am running a mile every time I go to the gym. I never once thought I would say that sentence. Joel has been going to the gym with his work friends. They are more serious about lifting and they are able to "spot" more pounds than I. I don't blame Joel for ditching me. LOL. His friend gave me a little weight lifting schedule... I feel kind of weird doing it by myself. So, I just run - do a few sit ups and go home. I don't like working out with people and I guess I don't like working out alone. Let's face it, I don't like working out... period.
I had better lose 4 pounds this week so I can catch up to Lynette!! ;) I'll have to lose MORE to beat her!! I haven't heard from too many others. We could extend this "Biggest Loser" for another 6 months if we need to? I know I didn't lose what I thought I would... hoped I would.
If not, only one more week. Also, if we don't - I'm chucking the scale out the window!
Good job on losing! And you thought you'd gained. I'm pretty sure I still couldn't run a continuous mile. You're very impressive.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep trying to lose more weight. I really thought the 40+ pounds I needed to lose would take me more than six months, but I was optimistic. I certainly didn't think I'd have as many plateaus as I have experienced. But that doesn't mean anyone else has to keep going. Or we could start a whole new challenge, and those that have lost interest could start again. I'm easy either way. I just know I still have quite a ways to go to feel very fit and healthy.
Where are we going for our celebratory outing?
We can go anywhere!!! I'm a much better traveler than I used to be!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else going with us?
We could do a Phase II Challenge - I know I need it.
So sorry for ditching y'all! I have now started again, and think I will do better without the pressure of having to report to anyone. Today was my first REAL workout of the summer. I have half heartedly gone after it, and have been on such a sugar high! Last week I ditched the sugar and gave myself a pep talk about the workouts. Gage and I did some seriously hills this morning, and if I can walk tomorrow, I will get after it again. Thanks for sharing your success stories, I am proud of you girls that stuck with it!
ReplyDeleteI have said this before, but you ladies are very welcome to come for a northern California adventure any time! We could pick a weekend when Eric is out of town for biking racing and just have a big huge estrogen fest...
